Comunitățile de energie se pot angaja în producție, inclusiv din surse regenerabile, distribuție, furnizare, consum, agregare, stocare a energiei, servicii de eficiență energetică sau servicii de încărcare pentru vehicule electrice

Românii vor avea posibilitatea să participe la o comunitate de energie, care va fi deschisă și voluntară, membrii sau acționarii acesteia păstrându-și drepturile și obligațiile în calitate de clienți casnici sau clienți activi, potrivit unui proiect de lege pentru modificarea Legii energiei electrice și a gazelor naturale nr. 123/2012, aflat în dezbatere publică.

Comunitatea de energie a cetățenilor este, conform legii, o persoană juridică care îndeplinește, cumulativ, următoarele condiții:

– este bazată pe o participare voluntară și deschisă și este controlată efectiv de către membri sau acționari persoane fizice, autorități locale, inclusiv municipalități, sau întreprinderi mici;

– are ca principal obiectiv oferirea unor avantaje cu privire la mediu, economice sau sociale pentru membrii sau acționarii săi sau pentru zonele locale în care funcționează, mai degrabă decât acela de a genera profituri financiare;

–  se poate implica în producere, inclusiv producerea din surse regenerabile, distribuție furnizare, consum, agregare, stocarea energiei, servicii de eficiență energetică, sau în servicii de încărcare pentru autovehicule electrice ori poate să furnizeze alte servicii energetice membrilor sau acționarilor săi.

De peste 150 de ani, societățile noastre s-au dezvoltat în Epoca Petrolului, caracterizată prin utilizarea sporită a hidrocarburilor – gaze naturale, produse derivate din petrol și combustibili. Direcționați către surse regenerabile, vom depinde în continuare de petrol și gaze pentru următoarele decenii, pentru energie, încălzire, transport și produse chimice. Acest lucru are o importanță deosebită pentru România, datorită rezervelor sale mari și, de asemenea, datorită infrastructurii extinse de O&G. Cu toate acestea, un sentiment de urgență domină industria. Companiile consacrate și noii jucători caută activ mișcări laterale pentru a-și consolida viitorul; acestea sunt de obicei legate de valorificarea cunoștințelor geologice (geotermale), de integrarea surselor regenerabile de energie (eoliene și solare) sau de noi purtători de energie (de exemplu, hidrogen).

Românii vor putea calcula consumul de energie pentru încălzire, producerea apei calde și gătit, precum și economiile obținute prin reabilitarea termică a locuinței

Consumatorii casnici vor putea calcula, în trei pași simpli, care este consumul mediu de energie pentru încălzire, producerea apei calde și gătit, dar și să descopere valorile aproximative ale economiilor pe care le-ar putea obține în facturile de energie prin reabilitarea termică a locuinței.

România Eficientă, program  derulat de Energy Policy Group și sponsorizat de OMV Petrom, lansează Calculatorul de Eficiență Energetică pentru consumatorii casnici de energie, un instrument unic pe piața din România, creat în cadrul programului România Eficientă. Acesta poate fi utilizat de către toți consumatorii casnici din România, indiferent de regiunea geografică în care locuiesc ori de tipul locuinței (casă unifamilială sau apartament la bloc).

Calculatorul este conceput pentru a fi ușor de folosit și înțeles de către utilizatori. După ce parcurge cei trei pași simpli – alegerea locației, descrierea locuinței și tipul de consumatori – utilizatorul poate vizualiza valorile medii ale consumului anual de energie, cheltuielile estimative aferente și impactul asupra mediului generat de acest consum, respectiv cantitatea anuală de emisii de dioxid de carbon. Totodată, consumatorul casnic va afla cum se distribuie pierderile de căldură din locuință – prin ziduri, ferestre, pardoseală și acoperiș. Dacă locuința este nereabilitată, Calculatorul mai arată ce economii de energie se pot obține în urma reabilitării termice a locuinței, dar și cum scade amprenta de carbon.

Un proiect de captare și stocare a carbonului va fi implementat la rafinăria Petrobrazi de către OMV Petrom și EPGP Energy Policy Group (EPG). Proiectul ConsenCUS, finanțat de Uniunea Europeană prin intermediul programului Horizon 2020, demarează la începutul lunii mai. Energy Policy Group (EPG) este membru al consorțiului.

ConsenCUS este un proiect de cercetare aplicată în domeniul tehnologiei de captare, utilizare și stocare a carbonului (CCUS), ce va fi desfășurat la nivel european în intervalul 2021-2024. Organizațiile românești membre în consorțiul internațional sunt EPG și OMV Petrom. În România, un proiect pilot va fi implementat la rafinăria Petrobrazi a companiei OMV Petrom.

Rolul EPG privește propunerile de politici prin care va fi implementată foaia de parcurs a proiectului, privind promovarea tehnologiilor CCUS ca vector de reducere a emisiilor de carbon în România și UE.
